WELCOME TO THE
IFRC PARK

The International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent societies (IFRC) based in Petit-Saconnex, Geneva, welcomed its fellow members and the neighborhood to collectively brainstorm and help transform its grounds into a shared space.
Such a space would connect its chalet park, terrace and urban forest and anchor the institution more firmly into the city’s civic horizon. This would be complemented by the carving of a pathway that connects the IFRC to the ICRC campus thus literally paving a public tribute to the historical presence of the Red Cross movement in Petit-Saconnex and Geneva.
A six month participatory process has produced an 'avant project' in 2023 that will shape the future of the grounds and its relationship with the public.
A detailed design process is currently underway accompanied by participatory hands on gardening workshops throughout 2024. Technical works will commence in 2025 following planning permission approval.
